Notion Ink’s Android Tablet is finally named as Adam.I got the name from “The Hindu”.
“Among the new fangled technologies to be displayed at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show scheduled for January 2010 will be a sleek gizmo, tentatively named Adam, conceptualised and designed in Hyderabad and Bangalore.”
Specs is so good.What about the price?? Not too costly.Its around 15000 INR.I’m expecting this device soon.

I’m predicting Apple tablet is true and it will be released in January,based on the following reports.
1)According to the Financial Times:
Apple has reportedly booked the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco "for several days in late January,"
2)A Quote by senior Apple insider:
“I can’t really say anything, but, let’s just say Steve is extremely happy with the new tablet.”

Microsoft has recovered most if not all of the T-Mobile/Danger SideKick’s customer data.The customers data includes contacts,photos,events,tasks etc.Microsoft continued to give info on status of ongoing recovery of data which was almost thought of lost due to server crash.Now Microsoft has released the following in its presspass

This tool will enable you to view the contacts you had on your device as of October 1. With a few clicks and a confirmation, you will be able to restore these contacts to your Sidekick. If you have recreated some of the same contacts on your Sidekick since October 1, you can choose to keep both sets of contacts, merge them, or just keep the set of contacts now on your device. You may also edit any partial or complete duplicates on your Sidekick after restoration.

The Beta release of Office 2010 marks the end of the Technical Preview program you currently belong to. At that time, you will also get your first look at the exciting new features we have added to server products such as SharePoint.
What this means to you as a Technical Preview Program participant is that the Office 2010 Connect site that you have been using will essentially be shut down and you will be directed to the Beta site (location to be announced) for Beta downloads, product information, links to forums, and more. After much news,Microsoft has launched its first brick and mortar store in Arizona and Scottsdale.People so far visited had given great positive views on Microsoft's store.“Our customers have told us they want choice, better value and great service when shopping for technology, and that is what we will deliver through our Microsoft stores,” says David Porter, corporate vice president of Microsoft Retail. Porter, a 27-year veteran of the retail industry, was hired by Microsoft in February to lead the effort.
Opening a retail store is a major step for Microsoft, and is the latest in a series of initiatives to engage more directly with customers and improve the experience of purchasing and using Microsoft-based technology.
According to Porter, the design of the stores is uniquely Microsoft, with four “zones” that focus on different types of technology experiences. “We want to showcase what’s possible with the full Microsoft brand.”

Microsoft Corp. today announced revenue of $12.92 billion for the first quarter ended Sept. 30, 2009, a 14% decline from the same period of the prior year. Operating income, net income and diluted earnings per share for the quarter were $4.48 billion, $3.57 billion and $0.40 per share, which represented declines of 25%, 18% and 17%, respectively, when compared with the prior year period.
These financial results reflect the deferral of $1.47 billion of revenue, an impact of $0.12 of diluted earnings per share, relating to the Windows 7 Upgrade Option program and sales of Windows 7 to OEMs and retailers before general availability. Adding back the deferred revenue, revenue totaled $14.39 billion, a 4% year-over-year decline, and EPS totaled $0.52 per share, an increase of 8% over the same period of the prior year.
“We are very pleased with our performance this quarter and particularly by the strong consumer demand for Windows,” said Chris Liddell, chief financial officer at Microsoft. “We also maintained our cost discipline, which allowed us to drive strong earnings performance despite continued tough overall economic conditions.”

Intel last week showed its new Light Peak technology.What is it actually?Its just another way for transferring data among devices and within the device just as our USB’s.Then what's special about it?Its an Optical Device Interconnect.What makes this so special is that it can carry 10Gbps of data, both ways, simultaneously. Even better, it can carry data through cable that's up to 100 metres in length, with Intel hoping that the cable will progress to being able to transfer up to 100 gigabits per second in the future. Dadi Perlmutter, who is the co-general manager of Intel's Architecture Group, said that Intel hopes to just see one universal cable for computers a bit later on. The reason for this is because smaller laptops can have their usefulness hindered by the need for many cables attached to the sides, for various devices.
I hope Intel would soon standardize this and devices flooding shelves soon.. :)
Do you wonder how?Yes Its true.Microsoft has given permission for custom pc makers in US to start selling new pc’s with windows 7 from oct-13th.So you are lucky if you want to buy custom pc with windows 7.According to Jon Bach, the president of Puget Systems, several Microsoft representatives have told him that his company, which sells custom PCs nationally out of its Auburn, Wash. facility, can install Windows 7 on new machines, then sell and ship them to customers on October 13.
"For us [system builders], we can buy the OEM editions of Windows 7, which should be hitting distributors no later than October 12, and put them in the hands of our customers on October 13 at the latest," said Bach.
Bach said he had Microsoft's okay in writing.
"We have a long line of customers who are waiting for Windows 7," said Bach, who added that his sales team has taken informal orders for new Windows 7 machines from about 50 customers. Puget Systems will also kick off a more formal pre-order promotion on Monday to offer all customers the option of placing orders for early delivery of new Windows 7 computers.

After years of news about it,now its new round of speculations.There is speculation that Pink could either be one handset or possibly two devices--codenamed 'Turtle' and 'Pure,' according to Engadget.Sharp may be the manufacturer,since they are doing phone together already with Sidekick.Danger team is also there with Microsoft.And its surely going to be based on WinMo 7.
